Are you guilty of lazy marketing?

Far too many businesses use the same marketing strategies continually because they’re easy and don’t require any thought or energy.

Run the exact same ad in the same publication month after month – easy.

Same sales reps calling on the same prospects, saying virtually the same things year after year – comfortable.

That’s fine if they’re working (i.e. bringing in more revenue than what’s being spent on them).  However, many times there’s no tracking of results,  so they don’t know if they’re working or not.

Even if they are working, why not try some other approaches that could improve returns.

  • Start a new resident direct mail campaign
  • Form a joint venture or referral partnership with a complimentary business
  • Have your website optimized for the search engines (SEO)
  • Start a newsletter to send clients & prospects
  • Have some testimonial videos of your satisfied clients filmed
  • Create an information product to give away as a lead generation tool
  • Join a networking group (or start your own)
  • Test some inexpensive direct response style advertising
  • Use post cards to drive prospects to your website
  • Add a lead capture form to your website
  • Start a campaign to re-engage old/lost clients
  • Send your clients birthday cards
  • Create a VIP or other customer appreciation type program

Get out of your comfort zone and experiment with some new, creative marketing methods and you may be pleasantly surprised with the results.
